Request for Comments (RFC)[]
Publication from the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Internet Society (ISOC). These publications are the principle technical development and standards for the Internet. A RFC is a publication authored by engineers and computer scientists in the form of a memo where they describe in detail methods, behaviors, research, or innovation that is related to the working of the Internet and Internet-connected systems. The research will be peer-reviewed and if approved the IETF can publish it as an Internet Standard.
